DAY 1 - Shauna

Okay, this will be day 1.  A first for me all around.  I am pretty much a virgin blogger!!  I lurk on alot of other people's blogs, but never really had one of my own until now.  Lori, my fellow blogger who you will also meet shortly, is my best friend.  We have been best friends for about 21 years.  We decided to do this weight loss thing together.........and support each other the best we can.  The kicker is...... we live 750 miles apart.  I live in PA, she lives in NH.  That is where this blog will come in handy!!  We can keep up with each other!

The diet starts today, along with the exercise.  We have promised each other we will exercise at LEAST 3 days a week, minimum of 1/2 hr each time.  NO EXCUSES, NO GOING BACK.  We both agreed to commit to 3 months.  We are on the same diet as well.

I am half way through day one.  Only 89 more days to go, haha.  I am not going to bore anyone with my starting weight...... that is just too depressing, but I will say that I want to lose 40 pounds.  It sounds like a lot to me, and it sounds hard to start......... but I can just do it 5 pounds at a time.  Easy as pie (I hope!!).

THe diet is a high protein, almost no carb diet.  ITs called Diets for Idiots and I found it online.  We are both giving it a shot.
